ABOUT USAzul Imperial begins with Macrina Montes.
While much of the tequila industry has historically focused on regions like Tequila Valley and the highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, Macrina wanted to create a tequila that represented the part of Jalisco where she was born and raised. A tequila rooted in her region, crafted exclusively from agave grown in the south of Jalisco. Inspired by the idea of terroir in wine, she built Azul Imperial as a single-estate tequila, producing each batch from a single field at a time so the natural differences in soil and climate can be expressed in the tequila. Tired of additives and shortcuts, Macrina made sure her tequila was crafted the right way, never using additives or fillers, because she stands behind the quality of what she creates. |

THE ART OF MAKING TEQUILAWe believe in making tequila the right way. That’s why each batch of our tequila is sourced from a single agave field at a time, and why we never use additives.
We take our time when we make tequila, so we have no need for additives. Slow cooked in an autoclave and double distilled in small artisanal copper pots, we take pride in our spirits. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ART OF MAKING TEQUILA
