OUR REGION
SOUTHERN JALISCOOur home is in Southern Jalisco, a region known for its volcanic soils, warm climate, and distinctive agave. While the Tequila Valley and Los Altos have long been recognized as historic growing regions, Southern Jalisco has cultivated blue Weber agave for generations.
Today, thousands of hectares of agave grow throughout this region, yet relatively few tequila brands tell its story. Our fields sit approximately 40 kilometers from Volcán de Colima. Volcanic activity has helped shape the soils of the surrounding region, contributing to the environment in which our agave grows. While every harvest is unique, we often find herbaceous notes, bright citrus, black pepper, and minerality. |

OUR FAMILY'S FIELDS
EACH BATCH OF OUR TEQUILA COMES FROM A SINGLE FIELD AT A TIME
The agave used in our current batches comes from La Bolsa, one of our family's agave fields in Southern Jalisco. Over the years, these mature plants have become the foundation of the tequilas we bottle today.

El Platanar represents the next generation of Azul Imperial, where young agave continues to mature in the same Southern Jalisco climate that has shaped our tequila from the beginning.
