OUR FOUNDERMacrina Montes was born in Southern Jalisco, where agave fields have long been part of the landscape. Although many of the world's best-known tequilas come from Los Altos or the Tequila Valley, she believed the region she called home deserved to be represented as well.
After building a life in the United States, she never lost her connection to Southern Jalisco. After many years of hard work, she returned to Mexico and purchased an agave field, and planted the first agaves to be used in Azul Imperial. |
A PERSONAL SIGNATUREEvery bottle carries Macrina's signature as a symbol of the family's pride, craftsmanship, and commitment to sharing the character of Southern Jalisco.

A Family Effort
While Macrina provides the vision, Azul Imperial is brought to life by family on both sides of the border. From caring for our agave fields to crafting every batch and sharing our story with the world, every bottle is the result of a true family effort.

MEET ALFREDO
Meet Alfredo. If there's one person who knows our tequila from field to bottle, it's Alfredo. He helps care for our agave fields, keeps a close eye on each harvest, and oversees the day-to-day operations of our distillery. From the growth of the agave to the production of every batch, his dedication helps ensure everything reflects the care and standards our family is proud to stand behind.

His close connection to the land and hands-on approach help ensure every bottle begins with healthy, mature agave.
